One reason why speaking up against bully is worth fighting for is because it can lead the student to commit suicide. For the convenience of the readers I will call the bully A and the victim B. B was an ordinary kid who was threatened by A to raise A's game character for him. But one day A's game account got hacked, so A beat-up B and stole his money. After three months of being bullied by A, B chose to commit suicide. He was found dead in his room. Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University. Students think that if they commit suicide everything will end. This result exemplifies the importance of the situation that is happening nowadays. From this it is clear that we need more solutions to help students, such as school-police. Korea has set a new law that in every school the government will send 3 police officers to keep an eye out for school bully.
Another reason why speaking up against bullying is worth fighting for is because, the bully has to know that they are wrong and they can be punished. A(Bully) was interviewed regarding the reason why he bullied B, and he said that he did not think that it was wrong. Bullies think that bullying is not wrong, and it is just part of showing others that they are strong. In most cases they think that they will not be punished because, they are still teenagers. They do not know how serious the situation is. The truth is, bullying is the worst thing that any human can do to another human. Humans are born to care and protect each other. The rules are changing slowly but firmly regarding the punishment of bullys. They can be sent to jail even though they are teenagers. It is hard to get attention regarding this matter until someone dies. But, does that mean that someone has to die in order to draw attention from people? No. We can't let more people die.. We have to change rules so that bullys will be afraid of causing harm to another.
The third reason why we should fight for speaking up against bullying is because we have to make a better society for children who love to go to school and play with others, and babies that are going to go to school one day. It is so important for the parents to talk with their children and encourage them. "Children who haven't got a lot of chance to talk and interact with their parents or got treated harshly by parents are most likely to cause a crime before they turn 28."said the research team of Yale University. This result exemplifies the importance of this issue and how we are responsible of resolving it. And it is also important for parents to notice that their children are getting bullied. In most of the cases parents only find out about the situation that their child is going through after the worst thing happens.
As everyone know there are so many types of bullying and so many methods of bullying. One study said that one of the reasons why bullying methods have gotten worse than before is because of violent video games. Games nowadays usually include fighting or killing. There is even a case where a person got addicted to a game that involved killing and he killed his friend thinking that it is just a game. Without fighting for this issue, the world may end up in chaos. Students who should be enjoying their life and feel like everyday is their best day may die one by one. School will change into food chain that shows weak are always eaten by the strong. This inspirational because, we can change the world by speaking up that it is wrong to harm others, and learning how to protect ourselves from any harm.
